WHAT ARE FLEXIBLE NOISE BARRIERS?

Industrial noise control barriers are barriers that combine mass, flexibility, and limpness to block noise from transmitting from one area to another.

Vinyl barriers are available clear, non-reinforced, and reinforced in a variety of weights and styles to meet a multitude of applications.

Quilted fiberglass absorbers reduce the reflection of sound waves by adding soft, porous, open-celled materials to an environment. These absorbers are available in gray, white, black, or tan with either a diamond stitch or straight stitch patter.

Different Kinds of Flexible Noise Barriers:

  • Non-reinforced vinyl noise barriers are most commonly used to reduce sound transmission between wall and ceiling partitions.
  • Reinforced vinyl noise barriers are typically used in applications requiring high tensile, breaking, and tear strength, as well as excellent UV and weather resistance such as in long term exterior sound walls.
  • Specialty vinyl noise barriers include a marine barrier which is a 1PSF barrier material with a woven fiberglass cloth facing. Marine barrier offers superior fire ratings when installed against bulkheads, etc.
  • Quilted fiberglass absorbers are typically used when trying to reduce the reflection of sound waves or reverberant noise energy within a piece of equipment, a room, or a building.

when using acoustic barrier solutions, the four critical elements are blocking, durability, flexibility and absorption.

1. BLOCKING

Acoustic barriers are used to contain noise within a space

2. DURABILITY

Designed for both indoor and outdoor, as well as high temperature applications

3. DESIGN FLEXIBILITY

Simple field adjustments can be made to fit these panels into any space

4. ABSORPTION

Barriers can be combined with an absorptive layer to reduce noise reverberation
