Fabric wrapped acoustic panels consist of two primary components, a fabric facing, and an acoustical core (typically 6# per cubic foot fiberglass).
With thousands of fabric choices from manufacturers like Guilford of Maine, Carnegie, Knoll, Maharam, Designtex, and others, fabric wrapped panels can be designed to fit any aesthetic. While these panels are most efficient when covered with acoustically transparent fabric, virtually any fabric can be used.
Keep in mind that different fabrics may alter absorption coefficients, but our team can help optimize your selection.
Core materials can be customized to fit the needs of any space. The most common core consists of 6# per cubic foot fiberglass. Other construction materials, like a foil backing, a mass loaded vinyl layer, a semi-diffusive layer, or an impact-resistant facing can be combined to tune and adapt fabric wrapped panels to any environment.

Oelex fabric wrapped panels are constructed according to the highest tolerances and specifications in the industry. Only Oelex panels carry the Oelex Guarantee, which is twice as long as the industry standard with a lifetime guarantee on acoustical performance.
Oelex fabric wrapped panels can be configured with a variety of edge details and thicknesses, including ½” through 4″ thick, to achieve NRC ratings from 0.50 for ½” panels to over 1.00 for 2″ panels. Using reflective, tackable, or mass-loaded vinyl elements inside the panel, we can tune each panel to suit the needs of a space.
Hardened or natural wrapped edge, various edge details, ideal for most applications. The OX-200 standard wall panel is manufactured to the highest standards and is specifically designed as a multi-purpose absorber panel that offers an economical way to resolve reverberant noise problems. Application for the OX-200 panels includes schools, universities, offices, airports, churches, restaurants and any area where excess reverberation is a problem. Available in ½ inch, 1 inch, and 2 inches thicknesses. Custom sizes up to 4 x 10 feet.
Hardened or natural wrapped edge features 1/8 inch thick 16-20 PCF high impact layer, ideal for high traffic areas. The OX-210 High Impact Acoustic Wall Panels are ideal for environments that combine the need for superior acoustical performance and resilience to high traffic areas. The OX-210 panels are constructed using a 6-7# rigid fiberglass absorber core laminated to 16#-20# PCF high-impact underlayment.The edges are chemically hardened and are available in 4 edge profiles.Available in 5/8 inch, 1 1/8 inch, 1 5/8 inch, and 2 1/8 inch thickness. Custom sizes up to 4 x 10 feet.
Hardened or natural wrapped edge features 1 pound per square foot loaded vinyl barrier, ideal for areas requiring high STC. The OX-250 Noise Barrier Panel is manufactured specifically as a composite barrier/absorber panel that offers both superior absorption and noise blocking performance. Applications for the OX-250 panels includes corporate offices, conference rooms, doctor’s offices, waiting rooms, classrooms and any area where speech privacy is a concern. Due to panel weight up to 2.5lbs per square foot, panels must be installed from floor to ceiling. Floor molding can be re-installed after installation of OX-250 panels. Available in 1 1/8 inch, and 2 1/8 inch thickness. Custom sizes up to 4 x 10 feet. NOTE: Due to panel weight up to 2.5lbs per square foot, panels must be installed from floor to ceiling. Wrapped edge, ideal for areas where sound reflection is required, such as churches, concert halls, and music rooms. OX-300 reflective panels are frequently used in conjunction with our OX-200 absorber panels. The combination of both the OX-200 and OX-300 panels provides both the absorption and reflection necessary to enhance the room acoustics by reflecting and absorbing excessive sound thereby improving the quality of sound and speech understanding.OX-300 reflective panels are manufactured with an MDF core in thickness to match OX-200 panels or standard thickness of 1/2″, 5/8″, and 3/4″ with sizes up to a maximum of 4′ x 10′.
Wrapped edge, ideal for areas where low absorption and high tackability are required. The OX-310 tack panel is constructed with a 24# PCF mineral fiber core. Edges are fully wrapped in standard, custom or C.O.M. fabric with the option of square or bevel edge detail. Available in ½ inch, and ¾ inch thickness. Custom sizes up to 4 x 8 feet.
Wrapped edge, features 1/16 inch thick perforated co-polymer layer, ideal for high abuse areas, offering excellent absorption with high durability. OX-400 High Abuse Panelsare constructed using a high impact 1/16″ thick perforated co-polymer underlayment laminated over a 1″ or 2″ thick 6-7 PCF fiberglass absorber core. The panels are fully wrapped in standard, custom or C.O.M. fabric. Available in 1 1/16 inch and 2 1/16” thickness. Custom sizes up to 4 x 10 feet.
Features 1/16 inch bent co-polymer facing and edges, ideal for extreme abuse areas, offering excellent absorption with high durability. OX-410 extreme abuse panels are manufactured using a high impact fire rated perforated rigid PVC vinyl sheet with edges that are bent and welded to provide protection over the 1″ or 2″ fiberglass absorber. Panels are available in 20+ standard colors with custom colors available. Available in 1 1/16 inch and 2 1/16 inch thickness. Standard sizes: 4 x 4 feet and 4 x 8 feet.
Ideal for environments where a typical broad band absorber would create a “dead” space. The tuned panel has high absorption values at mid-range or speech pattern frequencies and lower absorption coefficients both at the low end and high end octave bands. This allows for excellent speech intelligibility while still allowing the space to have an acoustically “live” sound. OX-420 Tuned Wall Panels are constructed of a 6-7 PCF fiberglass laminated to a 1’4” perforated hardboard layer. Edges are chemically hardened and are available in four different profiles. Standard thicknesses are ¾”, 2 ¼”, and 4 ¼”.
The OELEX AquaSonic Panels are the solution for damp environments such as pool areas that require noise reduction. AquaSonic Panels come in 2” standard thickness and are constructed with a 6-7 PCF rigid fiberglass absorber core with a WebCore facing that is constructed with supported vinyl film and polyester backing making them resistant to moisture and mold. Applications for the AquaSonic Panels include natatoriums in schools and universities.
