OELEX Exterior Sound Curtains are available in two styles for outdoor applications. Long-term, permanent, (“R” Style), for long-term permanent applications such as HVAC systems, dust collectors, and generators, and short-term, (‘N” Style) for applications such as construction sites or drilling operations. Our modular sound curtains offer noise control that’s simple, cost-effective, and they work!
Our modular exterior sound curtains are custom made with a variety of configurations to include mounting grommets and mating industrial grade velcro sewn on the vertical edges to provide an airtight acoustical seal between panels.
Flexible configurations to suit your needs for easy set-up, easy maneuverability.
EXT Sound Curtains help you get the job done without hassle and on time.
Exterior Sound Curtains Provide 2-Way Protection!
The barrier- backed EXT-N style sound curtain offers the benefits of both sound absorption and noise barrier products in one for outdoor applications. A cost saving non-reinforced 1 or 2 PSF loaded vinyl barrier is bonded to a 1″ or 2” thick exterior grade vinyl-coated -polyester faced quilted fiberglass absorber. These economic modular sound curtains are typically constructed with grommets across the top and bottom, and exterior grade Velcro seals along the vertical edges.
Typically used as an economic Sound Curtain on temporary construction projects with a 3-5 year life span. The exterior grade VCP facing is specifically formulated for outdoor applications. Composite products offer maximum noise reduction by both blocking and absorbing noise at job sites.

BBC-EXT-R – LONG TERM, PERMANENT
BBC-EXT-R Exterior Noise Barrier/Sound Absorber Composite offers the benefits of both a noise barrier and a sound absorber composite in one product for outdoor applications. This barrier backed product consists of an exterior grade, UV resistant heavy-duty faced quilted 1” or 2” fiberglass absorber bonded to a one or two pound per square foot reinforced loaded vinyl barrier. The heavy-duty facing is a ten ounce per square yard vinyl coated polyester, (VCP) quilted to the sound absorber rather than the standard 4.5 ounce facing. Curtain panels are constructed with grommets across the top and bottom and exterior grade Velcro seals along the vertical edges, and are sewn with Gore Tenara exterior grade thread.
Typically used as modular curtain panels on long-term construction projects or permanent outdoor applications such as enclosing HVAC equipment, dust collectors or similar machinery behind a manufacturing plant where UV and abuse resistance as well as maximum durability, longevity and noise reduction is required. Also available with a one-inch thick quilted fiberglass absorber, or with a two-pound per square foot reinforced barrier.

GWC-EX-R Exterior Noise Barrier Sound Curtains are specifically designed as an economical noise control solution on oil and gas drill sites where the equipment is not in close proximity of the sound wall making an absorber unnecessary. Modular curtain panels consist of an exterior grade, UV resistant heavy-duty, 1 PSF reinforced loaded vinyl noise barrier which has excellent durability, tear, and hanging strength. Modular curtain panels are constructed with grommets across the top and bottom, and exterior Velcro seals along the vertical edges, and sewn with an exterior grade Gore Tenara thread.
GWC-EX-R Sound Curtains can be used in conjunction with our OELEX GWC Acoustic Barrier Wall System. Panels hang suspended from a steel trellis system between steel support poles and attach together vertically by industrial grade Velcro. This design creates an acoustic seal but allows for emergency exits between panels if needed.
