The purpose of sound masking is to achieve both Speech Privacy and Comfort. Sound Masking introduces a spectrum of noise which gently raises the ambient background sound in order to cover, or mask, speech. Speech Privacy is achieved by raising the noise level to a point that makes conversations unintelligible. Comfort is achieved through the quality and range of the sound produced. Every space is unique. Lencore Spectra® Classic Self-Contained Non-Networked Sound Masking System
Spectra® Classic is the most economical, “set it and forget it” sound masking system for spaces up to 20,000 square feet. This self-contained system provides superior sound quality - giving you comfort and speech privacy. Individual units are available for personal use or niche applications such as home offices, waiting rooms, and rooms smaller than 500 square feet. Available with in-plenum or direct-fired speaker distribution, the system offers superior sound quality and uniformity for speech privacy and comfort and can incorporate paging and audio.
The Spectra® Classic System offers tremendous tuning capabilities and can be adjusted to +/- ½ dB and features independent and central volume controls as well as an optional 24/7 Programmable Timer. Lencore’s award winning Spectra® Classic System uses E-Sound® technology to provide you with the highest level of speech privacy while creating the most comfortable office environment. The system meets ASTM standards for speech privacy as well as spatial and temporal uniformity of sound. UL listed for use in the plenum. The Lencore Spectra® unit consists of an individual self-contained sound generator, audio amplifier, loudspeaker, AC to DC power supply converter in an aluminum enclosure, powered by a 16-18 volt AC step-down transformer. Additional central control capabilities are available. The sound generator is a CMOS programmed micro-controller integrated circuit.

Lencore Spectra® i.Net Engineered Networked System Solution
Spectra i.Net® is a networked system engineered to meet your facility’s specific needs and provides superior sound quality, extreme design flexibility, one point of control, virtually limitless zoning capabilities, easy expansion, and complete system access with the click of the remote or mouse, on site, off site or around the world.
Spectra i.Net® is offered as a completely packaged solution. Shipped in a branded enclosure, the system’s entire head-end equipment is expertly assembled, pre-wired, and ready for on-site installation. The Spectra i.Net® masking system uses a multi-drop network capable of being tuned through a network, LAN or wireless hand-held remote. The system is designed so that individual speaker or component failure will have no impact on the balance of the system. The masking volume is adjustable via digital means for 1/2 dB steps for a range of 36-84 dBA as measured 1m from the center of the speaker. The sound masking system is also able to provide muting capabilities. The sound masking, paging and music has individual identifiers located on an integrated LCD screen. The sound generating units have an adjustable sound spectrum shaping control in order to meet the varying spectral requirements of drywall ceilings; various types of ceiling tile, air return grills and openings around lighting fixtures, etc.
Spectra i.Net® can be controlled and adjusted in a variety of ways to offer clients multiple access, tuning and system configuration options. Real time system controls can be made on site or off site and are available digitally through a web interface. In addition, on site adjustments can be made through an iPad® application or via a Cisco, Crestron or AMX interface. For immediate manual system changes, simply use the hand held remote to make adjustments or to control settings at an infrared (IR) port or at a wall plate location. To expand the features and customize your Spectra i.Net® Engineered System Solution, optional equipment can be added for system access, control and functionality. To meet the unique needs of your space, Lencore offers a variety of mounting hardware and hanging methods for local codes and site conditions. The sound masking system is capable of separately and independently configuring zones for sound masking, paging and music, via the network empowered by its central control.

Lencore Spectra® LDT6 Desktop Sound Masking Unit
The Lencore Spectra® Desktop Sound Masking Unit is the most sophisticated unit of its kind for providing speech privacy in home offices, small waiting areas and for locations where it is difficult to install sound masking in the ceiling or plenum. It helps create speech privacy by generating a comfortable background sound. The Desktop Sound Masking Unit consists of an individual self-contained noise generator, audio amplifier, loud speaker, and power supply unit in a white damped metal enclosure. It is powered by an internal transformer with a 120 VAC plug (Plug-in can be configured for international use). Adjustments can be made by a small screwdriver (provided), to the contour and volume control.
The Desktop Sound Masking Unit can be uniquely adjusted to suit a variety of room conditions by making adjustments to the amplitude and spectra shapes. This adjustment can be made in increments of +/- ½ dB. In addition, the system has the adjustment capability to provide the most unobtrusive sound while obtaining the maximum speech privacy that meets ASTM E-1130 standards for speech privacy and sound uniformity. The spectrum shape adjustment ranges from 1 dB at 125 Hz to 20 dB at 8,000 Hz (typical). Range of sound level: 41-86 dBA.

Lencore Spectra® LDP-160-M Decorative Desktop Sound Masking Unit
The Lencore Spectra® Decorative Desktop Sound Masking Unit is the most sophisticated unit of its kind for providing speech privacy in home offices, small waiting areas and for locations where it is difficult to install sound masking in the ceiling or plenum. It helps create speech privacy by generating a comfortable background sound.
The Decorative Desktop System consists of an individual self contained noise generator, audio amplifier, loud speaker and power supply unit in a sleek, rectangular ABS speaker body. It is powered by an internal transformer with a 120 VAC plug. Adjustments can be made by a small screwdriver (provided), to the contour and volume control. Each speaker comes with a 6 foot cord that can plug into any 110v outlet.
